A library is an integral and very important part of any academic institution. No school or college can be conceived without it . The library of Vasant Kanya Mahavidyalaya was established in July 1961. The new library building was constructed in 2001 under IX plan. The building has two floors including the stack area. The total catpet area of the two floors is about 23969 sq.mts.

Librarian’s room is adjacent to the stack room / book issue -return counter of the library. OPAC is placed in front of the counter so that students can easily use it to search relevant books for issue / reading. The stairs next to this space lead to reading room section of the library where at a time 70 students can be seated.
